Your Role on the Team
We are seeking a Per Diem LVN Nurse to join our team at UCI Health. As a Per Diem LVN Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the overall mission of UCI Health. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct patient care to patients in various settings, including inpatient and outpatient units
- Assisting with patient assessments, developing care plans, and implementing interventions to improve patient outcomes
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A current California LVN license
- A current BLS Provider certification
- 2-3 years of experience in employee health in a hospital setting
- Knowledge of occupational health practices, transitional work, early safe return to work, and safety wellness programs
- Ability to provide independent judgment and provide appropriate guidance and assistance in all areas of responsibility
- Ability to use analytical and critical thinking and draw conclusions based on documentary evidence
- Ability to effectively communicate with various levels of the organization
- Knowledge of HIPAA
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Preferred Qualifications
We also welcome applicants with:
- Certified Occupational Health Nurse certification
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms
Physical Requirements
This role requires the ability to sit, talk, and hear regularly. You will also need to use fine motor skills (typing/data entry) and reach with hands and arms frequently. Occasionally, you may need to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crawl. You must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
