Job Summary

JC Ford Co is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling and fabricating parts, pieces, and products using various tools and equipment. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will ensure that our products meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze blueprints, diagrams, and instructions to ensure accurate assembly and fabrication.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks to confirm that assembled products meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Identify and report any product defects, and repair and adjust products as needed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and perform regular quality checks.
  • Document actions and products by completing required quality and production forms.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of necessary products in your workstation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Work cohesively with the Engineering, Purchasing, Fabrication, and Logistics Departments to resolve schedule conflicts and part shortages.
  • Supervise, train, motivate, coach, and prepare performance reviews of assigned personnel.
  • Continuously monitor staff size, skills, efficiencies, performance, and job assignments, and communicate accordingly.
  • Ability to multitask several projects at once and maintain accurate, up to date schedules.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of manufacturing, equipment maintenance, safety management, and controls and instrumentation.
  • Ability to interpret and follow written directions, blueprints, and engineering diagrams.
  • Excellent grasp of math skills to meet technical specifications and measurements.
  • Capacity to logically solve problems and manage projects using a data-driven, detail-oriented approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others and to participate in and/or lead a cross-functional team.
  • Ability to drive for results, hold self-accountable, and continuously improve.

Physical Requirements

The majority of the job function is performed in a manufacturing setting requiring normal safety precautions.
