Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our production team at JC Ford Co. As a key member of our assembly operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assembly and Quality Control: Assemble parts, pieces, and products using various tools and equipment, with a focus on quality and attention to detail.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Review, analyze, and follow blueprints, diagrams, drawings, procedures, and instructions to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality checks to confirm that assembled products meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Defect Identification and Reporting: Identify any product defects, record, and report them accordingly.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure equipment is operational by performing preventative maintenance, regular quality checks, and calling for repairs when necessary.
  • Documentation and Inventory Management: Document actions and products by completing required quality and production forms, and maintain inventory of necessary products in your workstation.
  • Team Collaboration: Work cohesively with the Engineering, Purchasing, Fabrication, and Logistics Departments to resolve schedule conflicts, part shortages, and other issues that may impact shipping schedules.
  • Leadership and Training: Supervise, train, motivate, coach, and prepare performance reviews of assigned personnel, and continuously monitor staff size, skills, efficiencies, performance, and job assignments.
  • Project Management: Ability to multitask several projects at once and maintain accurate, up-to-date schedules.
Requirements
  • Manufacturing and Equipment Maintenance: Knowledge of manufacturing, equipment maintenance, safety management, and controls and instrumentation.
  • Blueprint Interpretation and Math Skills: Ability to interpret and follow written directions, blueprints, and engineering diagrams, and excellent grasp of math skills to meet technical specifications and measurements.
  • Problem-Solving and Communication: Capacity to logically solve problems and manage projects by utilizing a data-driven, detail-oriented approach, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively.
  • Teamwork and Leadership: Demonstrated ability to work well with others and to participate in and/or lead a cross-functional team, and possess ability to drive for results, hold self-accountable, and continuously improve.
Physical Requirements

The majority of the job function is performed in a manufacturing setting requiring normal safety precautions.
