Position Summary

The Senior Assembler plays a crucial role under the guidance of the Production Manager, focusing on the installation and assembly of various components. This position involves collaborating within a team to assemble complete products or multiple components across diverse builds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and install components for box trucks and vans, including shelving, bumpers, flooring, doors, partitions, e-trac, sub-frames, and specialized equipment using a range of hand and power tools.
  • Modify and preassemble materials as necessary for installation.
  • Apply sealants to vehicle seams and ensure cleanliness by removing excess materials.
  • Utilize refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical techniques in assembly processes.
  • Assist in the production of wiring assemblies.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Interpret blueprints and work instructions to complete assembly tasks accurately.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and maintain an organized workspace.
  • Report any product or assembly errors to management and complete necessary documentation.
  • Provide support to team members as needed and follow daily instructions from supervisors.
  • Ensure proper fitting and securing of all parts.
  • Participate in cross-training for other departments when required.
  • Engage in problem-solving and troubleshooting to foster continuous improvement in products and processes.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $22-$27 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Minimum of 1 year of electrical experience in automotive or housing sectors.
  • Experience in assembly, manufacturing, or upfitting of commercial vehicles.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • 3+ years of experience as an assembler or fabricator, particularly in chassis preparation.

Preferred:

  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production setting within the automotive or commercial vehicle industry.
  • 5+ years of mechanical experience in a manufacturing context.

Successful candidates will undergo a comprehensive background check, including a driving record review and drug testing.
