Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician II

At Mother Parkers Tea & Coffee USA, Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our quality control team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular inspections of packaging lines to verify production quality checks, packaging integrity, and label accuracy.
  • Verify and record quality checks for every shop order ran during the course of a shift.
  • Identify, assist, and document quality holds.
  • Maintain the Hold Area and ensure hold product is accurately documented in the database.
  • Review and monitor all deviations to aid in corrective action and decision-making.
  • Perform environmental sampling and work closely with the QA supervisor and 3rd party lab.
  • Trend analytical data and perform root cause analysis.
  • Review daily paperwork for all lines to make release decisions.
  • Active involvement in quality improvement processes and ability to enforce policies and procedures in the facility.
  • Perform equipment calibrations on a daily and weekly basis, verifying readings and recording results.
  • Daily operational inspection of GMPs and rework process on the production floor to ensure a quality and safe working environment.
  • Assist the QA supervisor in performing monthly audits and other tasks as assigned.
  • Purchase materials and track inventory of all safety and janitorial supplies with working knowledge of EAM.
  • Oversee processes and systems for reporting, monitoring, and correcting operational deficiencies pertaining to food safety and quality.
  • Provide support to QA technicians and motivate the team to achieve quality goals.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years in the food industry or an Associate's degree with 5+ years of experience in the food industry.
  • HACCP certification.
  • PCQI (preventative controls qualified individual) certification.
  • Solid knowledge of SQF.
  • Critical thinking/problem-solving skills.
  • Deadline-oriented.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills with peers and production personnel.
  • Promoting process improvement.
  • Leadership and organizational skills.
  • Computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft AX.
  • Plan and organize tasks effectively and efficiently.
