Job Summary:

The Inspection Technician II will be responsible for ensuring the quality and conformance of products within the surgical instrumentation and quality organization at The Fountain Group. This role will involve performing quality inspections to standard AQLs, interpreting blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, and geometric dimensioning and tolerance to qualify parts into stock locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect purchased parts, assemblies, hardware, special processes, and materials for conformance to engineering requirements and specifications.
  • Examine items for defects in materials, work, and damage occurring in transit.
  • Compare quantity and part number of items received with purchasing data and other specifications to ensure completeness and accuracy of order.
  • Perform First Article Inspections and utilize various inspection tools such as CMM, Optical Comparator, Height gages, V-Blocks, Thread Gages, Micrometers, and Calipers.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ year of relevant experience in manufacturing inspection, repair, test, or quality with demonstrated hands-on electromechanical testing preferred within a medical device industry.
  • Experience using CMM, Optical Comparator, Height gages, V-Blocks, Thread Gages, Micrometers, and Calipers.
  • Experience performing First Article Inspections.
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
