Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Technician to join our team at Shearer's Foods. As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our snacks meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory testing and calibration of equipment to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Monitor facility operations to ensure compliance with corporate quality requirements, SQF, labeling, GMPs, food safety, and other relevant standards.
  • Work with the production team to ensure that all proper checks are in place and communicate quality results on a regular basis.
  • Train and prepare for audits, document results in record-keeping databases, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Experience as a Quality Technician is preferred.
  • Good attendance is a must for this role.
  • Ability to read, understand, and effectively communicate with team members in their immediate area.
  • Mathematical skills, including simple math, conversions, and use of formulas to compute run rates.
  • Leadership skills, including honesty, dependability, punctuality, and trustworthiness.
  • Ability to work well with others and demonstrate Shearer's North Star Core Values of Respect, Teamwork, and Giving Back.
  • Reasoning ability to apply common sense understanding and carry out written or oral instructions.
  • Basic computer skills required to run production.
  • Ability to follow standard work instructions and be flexible with scheduling.
  • Physical demands include standing, reaching, lifting, and moving up to 50+ pounds.
