Job Overview

SUMMARY:

The Internal Compliance Auditor is tasked with evaluating and overseeing the adherence of Santa Clara Development Corporation to applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including but not limited to taxation, gaming laws, internal controls, and established policies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and procedures by ensuring compliance with relevant gaming regulatory bodies as well as internal policies.
  • Work collaboratively yet independently from other departments to maintain objectivity.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of gaming regulations at local, state, and federal levels, along with internal controls and policies.
  • Conduct scheduled internal audits according to a strategic audit plan developed in collaboration with the Compliance Director.
  • Present audit findings to department leaders and the Executive Team in a clear and unbiased manner.
  • Perform follow-up audits as necessary to verify that corrective measures have been implemented.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of all areas as directed.
  • Maintain a reliable and consistent attendance record.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, though not mandatory.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in internal auditing or accounting functions is required.
