Job Overview

Position Summary:
Under the guidance of the Shift Manager, the Security Shift Supervisor holds a pivotal role within the organization, tasked with delivering comprehensive security services at designated locations. This position mandates a valid Level II Security Guard license issued by the state. The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and directing the activities of security personnel, ensuring optimal staffing levels and effective delegation of tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
The essential duties of the Security Shift Supervisor include, but are not limited to:

  1. Certification through the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department (RDL) training curriculum is required.
  2. Training and certification in Use of Force as mandated by the RDL is necessary.
  3. Possession of Security Level II equipment, including tactical gear and defensive tools, is essential.
  4. Maintain security at the assigned site, ensuring adequate officer presence as per site requirements.
  5. Manage and evaluate dispatcher operations, ensuring compliance with protocols and providing feedback for improvement.
  6. Act as a primary contact for internal stakeholders, vendors, and visitors, addressing inquiries and operational concerns.
  7. Prepare and deliver reports, analyses, and data to relevant parties as required.
  8. Utilize and monitor communication systems for dispatch and coordination of security operations.
  9. Conduct risk assessments and threat analyses in collaboration with the Shift Manager.
  10. Deliver critical safety services through regular patrols, ensuring the protection of personnel and property.
  11. Conduct thorough investigations, documenting findings and preparing reports in compliance with departmental standards.
  12. Respond to emergencies, providing immediate assistance and coordinating with relevant authorities.
  13. Ensure proper documentation and preservation of incident scenes, including evidence collection.
  14. Utilize communication systems to relay information during emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement and emergency services.
  15. Monitor alarm systems and surveillance feeds to identify potential security threats.
  16. Determine appropriate dispatch of security units based on situational factors.
  17. Perform additional duties as assigned to enhance departmental efficiency and safety.
  18. Enforce applicable laws and regulations to maintain a secure environment.
  19. Maintain accountability for issued equipment and uniforms.
  20. Familiarize oneself with hazardous materials and relevant regulations.
  21. Support enterprise standards aimed at delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  1. High School Diploma or GED is required.
  2. A minimum of one to three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is preferred.
  3. Must be at least 21 years of age.
  4. Obtain and maintain a gaming license as required.
  5. Possess a valid New Mexico State Security Guard Level II license and maintain a satisfactory attendance record.
  6. Hold a valid Driver's License.
  7. Exhibit excellent customer service skills.
  8. Willingness to work in potentially hazardous environments.
  9. Possess approved Security Officer Level II equipment.
  10. Demonstrate analytical observation skills.
  11. Ability to accurately document information.
  12. Communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
  13. Maintain composure under pressure and make sound decisions in emergencies.
  14. Knowledge of state and local motor vehicle laws.
  15. Adhere to company policies regarding uniform standards.
  16. Produce well-written documents with attention to detail.
  17. Successfully complete mandated training programs.
  18. Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Applications are required.
  19. Maintain a good attendance record.
  20. Flexibility to work overtime as needed based on operational requirements.
