We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at RATP Dev USA Inc./Go Raleigh. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, buses, and trucks.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine preventative maintenance inspections and procedures, including oil changes and filter replacements.
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with heavy equipment, buses, and trucks.
- Inspect and repair brake systems, fuel and emission systems, drivelines, steering and suspension systems, and passenger heating/cooling systems.
- Test drive and operate light duty vehicles, trucks, buses, and support equipment to diagnose malfunctions or ensure proper operation.
- Perform minor fabrication, welding, grinding, and soldering tasks as needed.
- Assist in training lower-level personnel and perform backfill supervisory duties as required.
- High school diploma or GED required; minimum of one to two years of vocational/technical schooling or equivalent work experience.
- Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) class B with endorsements required.
- Must pass Department of Transportation (DOT) pre-employment physical and drug screening.
- No criminal convictions or DWI, DUI, assault, or possession of controlled substances within the last 5 years.
- ASE Truck or Transit Bus certifications and 608/609 Air Conditioning Certification.
- Three to five years of verifiable experience in heavy-duty diesel bus or truck maintenance and repair.
- Ability to learn new programs and technologies as required.
