Job Summary

Ryder is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electronic issues, and ensuring our fleet of heavy duty vehicles is in top condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic issues with diesel engines and heavy duty vehicles
  • Conduct standard component inspections and repairs
  • Perform preventive maintenance and identify root causes of basic failures/conditions
  • Replace defective components as instructed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
