Job Summary
The Buckle, Inc. is seeking a Management Trainee to join our team. As a Management Trainee, you will work closely with our Store Manager to develop sales, recruiting, and leadership skills that will propel you to become an excellent Store Manager. You will share responsibility for training and motivating Teammates and act as the Store Manager in their absence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop sales, recruiting, and leadership skills through on-the-job training and mentorship
- Assist in leading, directing, motivating, and educating new Teammates to meet and achieve Buckle's accountability, shift orientation, loss prevention, and sales presentation standards
- Support Store Manager in coaching and counseling Teammates in accordance with Buckle policies
- Act as the Store Manager in their absence, including handling emergencies and making decisions
- Participate in interviewing and recruiting for the store
- Develop and implement visual displays and manage product categories
- Assist in maintaining store standards of excellence and ensuring sales floor is consistently sized and new freight is appropriately displayed
- Complete register balance and bank deposits accurately, daily and on time
- Adhere to Loss Prevention policies and store key controls at all times
- Convey feedback to Store Manager with regard to sales and Teammate performance
- Monitor and maintain adequate inventory of supplies
- Consistently maintain a clean, organized, and shoppable store to fulfill Buckle's mission statement
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a relevant field of study preferred
- One to three months related retail experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, and weekends, and the day of/day after Thanksgiving and Christmas, based upon store and business needs
- Ability to travel and cover other stores within the district based on business needs
