Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled System Engineer and Technical Specialist to join our team at L3Harris Technologies.

About the Role

This intermediate professional position involves practical knowledge of job area with supervision. You will set objectives for your own job area, communicate with internal and external contacts to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures. Identify and address changes within your job area and work towards achieving operational targets with some impact on departmental results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Make basic adjustments to systems and processes to solve problems.
  • Identify, define, and address general problems typically within your immediate job area.
Essential Functions:
  • Generation of functional block diagrams, use-case diagrams, cabling diagrams, etc.
  • Generation of Engineering Change Orders.
  • Conduct of trade studies.
  • Generation of requirements specifications.
  • Support digital engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • Interfacing with other engineering disciplines to ensure proper coordination of systems aspects of the project.
  • Integration and test planning, including generation of plans and procedures.
  • Creation and presentation of design review materials.
  • Verification of system interfaces.
Requirements

Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 1 year of prior related experience. Alternatively, a Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0-1 years of prior related experience is required. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.

Preferred Skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative, drive, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with DOORS requirements management software.
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Compensation

The estimated salary range for this role is $69,000 - $128,000 annually, depending on experience and location.
