At St. Luke's Health System, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Patient Access Specialist to join our team. As a Patient Access Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our patients receive exceptional care and service from the moment they enter our facilities.
This is a customer-facing position that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for registering patients, scheduling appointments, and coordinating referrals. You will also be the first point of contact for patients and caregivers, providing professional, timely, and accurate information and support.
We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. If you have a passion for delivering exceptional patient experiences and are looking for a challenging and rewarding role, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities- Registration and Scheduling: Register patients, schedule appointments, and coordinate referrals in a timely and accurate manner.
- Customer Service: Provide professional, timely, and accurate information and support to patients and caregivers.
- Financial Options and Insurance Coverage: Discuss financial options and explain insurance coverage, including authorizations, verifications, and estimates.
- Technology and Tools: Use a variety of technologies, tools, and resources to support departmental workflows.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
