Position: Bar Support Staff

The Bar Support Staff plays a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of the bar by assisting with various tasks that ensure a seamless service experience. This position involves supporting bartenders and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with guests and colleagues in a friendly and service-oriented manner, promoting a positive atmosphere.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, including restocking supplies and ensuring cleanliness.
  • Maintain an adequate supply of ice, beverages, and other essential items at the bar.
  • Perform routine checks on bar equipment and make minor repairs as necessary.
  • Keep the bar area tidy by cleaning surfaces, managing waste, and organizing glassware.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including current promotions.
  • Support bartenders during peak hours by taking orders, preparing drinks, and processing payments.
  • Document inventory usage to aid in the reordering process and ensure proper storage of supplies.
  • Arrange bottles and glassware attractively to enhance the bar's appearance.
  • Provide guests with information about hotel amenities and local attractions.
  • Stay informed about hotel events and activities to enhance guest engagement.
  • Address guest complaints and resolve issues effectively.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least one year of experience in customer service, preferably in the hospitality sector.
  • Ability to understand and follow various instructions in written or verbal form.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English to communicate effectively.
  • Familiarity with reservation and point-of-sale systems is preferred.
  • Competence in using computers and relevant software.
  • Strong multitasking skills and attention to detail.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
