Position: Barback
The Barback plays a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of the bar by assisting with various tasks, ensuring that all necessary supplies are available, and supporting the bartender in delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with guests and colleagues in a warm and service-oriented manner, fostering a positive atmosphere.
- Contribute to a harmonious work environment by addressing conflicts calmly and professionally.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of the bar, including restocking supplies and ensuring cleanliness.
- Ensure the bar is adequately stocked with ice, beverages, and other essentials.
- Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functionality, making minor repairs as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness in the bar area by regularly wiping surfaces, sweeping, and disposing of waste.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of food and beverage offerings, including menus and promotions.
- Support bartenders during busy periods by taking orders, preparing drinks, and processing payments.
- Keep accurate records of inventory usage to assist in reordering supplies.
- Organize the bar area to ensure all products are easily accessible and visually appealing.
- Provide guests with information about the hotel's amenities and local attractions.
- Stay informed about upcoming events and promotions within the hotel.
- Exhibit a professional demeanor that emphasizes hospitality and guest satisfaction.
- Address guest inquiries and resolve issues effectively.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least one year of experience in customer service, preferably in the hospitality sector.
- Ability to follow various instructions provided in different formats.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English to communicate effectively.
- Familiarity with reservation and point-of-sale systems.
- Competence in using computers and relevant software.
- Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail.
- Team-oriented mindset.
