Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer II to join our team at Precision Castparts Corp. As a Process Engineer II, you will be responsible for evaluating existing manufacturing processes and configuring manufacturing systems to reduce cost, increase yield, and improve safety. You will utilize best practices and statistical methods to improve operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead change management and kaizen initiatives in manufacturing.
• Develop innovative solutions to improve manufacturing processes.
• Coordinate engineering trials through production departments.
• Ensure that procedures are maintained and followed.
• Communicate project results to management.
• Assist in capital projects related to process area.
• Advise and implement corrective actions.
• Work with equipment designers and manufacturing officers to develop more cost-effective methods of manufacturing.
• Troubleshoot existing processes.
• Research and purchase of new manufacturing technology.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within financial budgets.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, metallurgical, or materials engineering or related discipline.
• 5 to 10 years manufacturing engineering experience.
• Knowledgeable in statistical analysis.
• Strong experience in lean.
• Investment casting experience preferred.

Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, twist, turn, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, kneel, stoop, bend, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
