Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Systems Development Manager to lead our team in operating and engineering cloud computing systems at scale. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and building operational scalability that sustains our platform's growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers in designing and implementing cloud computing solutions
  • Develop and maintain high-level technical designs and architecture for cloud computing systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of cloud computing solutions
  • Identify and mitigate operational concerns in a timely manner
  • Develop and implement metrics and continuous learning to cultivate engineering and operational excellence

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics or relevant work experience
  • 3+ years of experience as the systems engineering and operations leader/people manager for an Internet service or leading edge IT organization
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success building and leading teams
  • Performance engineering and capacity planning background
  • Systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
  • Leading development life cycle processes and best practices, esp. in the areas of deployment automation and monitoring

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $149,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $258,800/year in our highest geographic market.
