Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Triumph Group. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling and finishing production components to specifications, performing functional tests, and recognizing and reporting defective parts with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble various critical tolerance hydraulic assembly components while following work instructions, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Finish applications such as lockwire, sealant, and paint touch-up, including installation of identification plates, grease fittings, clamps, and zip ties.
  • Use a variety of hand tools and precision measuring instruments to monitor and verify drawing/work order requirements.
  • Monitor and verify quality in accordance with manufacturing planning, quality plans, and engineering drawings.
  • Calibrate pressure gauges and transducers per Acceptance Test Procedure requirements.
  • Understand and complete acceptance test procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Ensure part quality by utilizing the correct tooling and standard practices.
  • Meet production deadlines by following manufacturing schedule and procedures.
  • Work with support resources and cell leaders to resolve production problems when they arise.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety policies, contributing to risk mitigation management teams, and keeping all work areas clean.
  • Contribute to team effort by maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Continuously strive to find ways to make the manufacturing process more efficient and effective.
  • Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the assembly department through participation in FOD, 5S, TPM, PM, and Process Improvement programs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent required. General mechanical knowledge/background.
  • Assembly experience inclusive of two years of actual hands-on mechanical assembly or two years of proven proficiency in a similar industrial environment.
  • Basic understanding of the following preferred:
    • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
    • Precision measuring devices.
    • Part drawings/blueprints, dimensioning, and tolerancing.
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
    • Intermediate computer skills.
    • Read and interpret hydraulic schematics.
