About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative I-Admitting to join our team at Presbyterian Healthcare Services. As a Patient Access Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth registration process for patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient experience by using CARES, AIDET, and EPE tools to address patient concerns and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Manage conflict and request supervisor assistance when needed to ensure a positive patient experience.
  • Implement PROMISE and CARES behaviors in every encounter to provide a high level of customer service.
  • Educate patients on insurance benefits and liabilities to ensure accurate account information.
  • Ensure accounts are financially cleared at time of service to alleviate patient concerns.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 6 months of experience in a healthcare setting or 1 year of customer service experience.
  • Pass the Patient Access Academy with a score of 85% or higher within 6 months of start date.
  • CHAA, CHAM, or other industry equivalent certification preferred.
  • Basic understanding of insurance and medical terminology preferred.
