Job Summary

First City Recovery Centers LLC is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in providing high-quality care to individuals struggling with substance abuse and mental health issues. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering client-centered care, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Care
    • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals in our detoxification and substance abuse treatment programs
    • Conduct thorough nursing assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and provide ongoing monitoring and evaluation of patient progress
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping
    • Accurately and thoroughly document patient information, including admission notes, nursing assessments, and progress notes
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of patient needs and treatment plans
  • Medication Management
    • Administer medications as ordered by physicians, ensuring accurate and timely administration
    • Monitor patient response to medications, report any adverse reactions or concerns to physicians, and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed
  • Quality Improvement and Compliance
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including data collection, analysis, and implementation of evidence-based practices
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, organizational policies, and accreditation standards
Requirements
  • Education
    • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN or RN)
  • Experience
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in a chemical dependency/psychiatric setting, preferably in a detox unit and/or inpatient, partial hospitalization, and/or outpatient setting
  • Licensure and Certification
    • Current licensure to practice nursing in the state of employment
    • Current CPR certification
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
