Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our team as a Regional Sales Representative. This individual will be responsible for generating new business, customer retention and growth, reaching or exceeding sales budgets and bottom line expectations, product demonstrations, training and conveying product and market specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop new business through prospecting, presentations and business development initiatives.
  • Service existing accounts and maintain strong relationships with customers.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, and new product developments.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Represent products to customers at trade shows and conferences, providing product demonstrations and training as needed.
  • Understand product and market specifications and use of specifications in the government bidding system.
  • Monitor government bids and gather pricing information, submitting reports to management as required.
Requirements:
  • History of leveraging sales skills to land new business and achieve sales goals.
  • Highly motivated with a proven track record in reaching or exceeding outside sales goals.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal closing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and management.
  • Able to travel sales territory, with a minimum of two weeks of overnight travel per month for customer meetings, demonstrations, and trainings.
  • Comfortable working in the public sector, with the ability to understand specifications and the bidding system.
  • Proficient in math and able to understand basic layout concepts.
  • Able to grasp technical concepts and explain them to others, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
