Nemours Foundation is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to fill the role of RN Trauma Performance Improvement Specialist. This part-time position will be approximately 20 hours per week.

About the Role

This position plays a critical role in the Trauma Program at Nemours Foundation, working closely with the Trauma Program Manager and Trauma Medical Director. As a Trauma PI Specialist, you will coordinate, participate, and document trauma performance improvement activities, identify events, expected outcomes, loop closures, and plan of care for trauma patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate, participate, and document trauma performance improvement activities, identify events, expected outcomes, loop closures, and plan of care for trauma patients.
  • Collaborate with the Trauma Program Manager and Trauma Director to develop and implement policies, procedures, and care management processes to improve clinical outcomes.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ability to analyze and problem solve independently and disseminate data to relevant groups across the health system.
  • Participate in the preparation and completion of internal and external reports, survey documents, and site visits.
  • Ensure the care of the trauma patient complies with current policies and guidelines.
  • Participate in and/or facilitate trauma PI meetings.
  • Act as a liaison between all hospital departments and the Trauma Program.
  • Assist with Trauma Outreach education as needed.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing; a Master's degree in Nursing or Public Health is preferred (or currently enrolled in such a program).
  • Trauma or Performance Improvement experience: knowledge of trauma registry is preferred.
  • Five or more years of experience.
  • An active RN license.

We offer an estimated salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
