Job Highlights:This Opportunity:

We are seeking a Part Time Psychiatrist to join our Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) in Winston-Salem and Greensboro, NC. This role offers 10-26 hours per week with a flexible schedule and the option to work 5-10 hours per day. The position is 100% onsite, with no option for remote work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and diagnose individuals served by the ACTT for mental health disorders and make an appropriate DSM diagnosis.
  • Ensure services are delivered in a medically appropriate manner and care provided follows service definitions and best practices.
  • Review past treatments, evaluations, and other relevant information to develop an appropriate diagnosis and person-centered plans.
  • Prescribe medication when appropriate and request diagnostic lab work when necessary.
  • Maintain all necessary documentation and records in a timely manner, including the use of an Electronic Health Records system (EHR).
  • Provide education to individuals to aid in understanding their diagnosis and recommend appropriate treatment.
  • Encourage individuals to participate in mental health therapy when appropriate and collaborate with other providers to discuss treatment plans and progress.
  • Participate in staffing of complex or high-risk individuals with other program staff and provide clinical supervision to assigned physician assistants and nurse practitioners.
  • Attend and actively participate in meetings and training as required and maintain certification in all agency, state, and federal training requirements.
Education and Certifications:

We are looking for a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic (D.O.) in Psychiatry with Adult/Child Residency Experience. The ideal candidate will hold certifications from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN), American Osteopathic Association (DO), and State Medical Board, North Carolina. A valid North Carolina Driver License is also required.

Schedule:
