Associate Director of Communications and Engagement

The School of Professional Studies at New York University is seeking a highly skilled Associate Director of Communications and Engagement to join our team. As a key member of our Division of Enrollment Management and Student Success, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communications strategies to engage with prospective and current students, faculty, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive communications plans to promote the School of Professional Studies and its programs
- Manage and maintain the division's social media presence, including creating and scheduling content, engaging with followers, and analyzing metrics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute large-scale events, including Orientation and Commencement
- Supervise and mentor two staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project execution
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in communications and engagement, applying this knowledge to inform and improve our strategies
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in marketing and communications, with a focus on event planning and staff supervision
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt to different tone and style guidelines
- Proven experience with project management tools, such as Asana, and CRM platforms, such as Slate
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize tasks efficiently
- Experience working in a higher education environment, with a focus on student engagement and communications
- Knowledge of the student life-cycle, from prospective student to graduate
- Familiarity with industry-standard software and tools, such as Adobe Creative Cloud and Google Analytics
