We are seeking a highly skilled Sanitation District Maintenance and Operations Supervisor to join our team at Sacramento County CA. As a key member of our wastewater collection systems team, you will be responsible for supervising staff engaged in the inspection, cleaning, repair, and maintenance of sewer lines and the operation, maintenance, and repair of pump and lift stations.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise staff in the inspection, cleaning, repair, and maintenance of sewer lines
- Operate, maintain, and repair pump and lift stations
- Plan, organize, and direct the work processes of others
- Communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers, customers, and the public
- Record data, prepare work orders, and write investigatory reports
- Provide good customer service and work in a team environment
- Recognize the abilities of employees and recommend training
- Read and interpret plans and specifications
- Investigate service requests
- Be flexible, decisive, and make responsible decisions
- Valid California Driver License, Class C or higher
- Grade 2 California Water Environmental Association (CWEA) Collection System Maintenance Certification
- Either one year of full-time paid experience in a supervisory role or two years of full-time paid experience in a related field
Positions in this class require the incumbent to be able to work outside in all weather conditions, work in enclosed areas, and work in trenches up to 23 feet in depth.
