As a Radiologic Technologist Lvl IV, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of quality medical care to patients.

Under general supervision, you will coordinate and supervise the activities of staff, including radiographers and specialized area technologists.

You will assist with scheduling patient procedures and perform work of routine and some difficulty and responsibility.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating and supervising the activities of staff
  • Assisting with scheduling patient procedures
  • Performing work of routine and some difficulty and responsibility
  • Maintaining and coordinating the availability of radiographic services
  • Reporting to the Administrator of Radiology

Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing exam orders and consulting with radiologists
  • Scheduling patients and arranging for transportation as indicated
  • Ensuring that all pertinent patient documents are available to generate final reports
  • Maintaining documents and logs as required and mandated by the department QA guidelines and various regulatory agencies
  • Preparing patients for radiological procedures
  • Arranging for proper protection of patients, public, and staff from infectious diseases/materials
  • Performing daily checks of radiographic imaging equipment and immobilization devices
  • Maintaining adequate stocks of supplies and materials needed for use in the department
  • Reporting any unexpected patient incidents in accordance with the occurrence report protocol
  • Maintaining and exercising all mandated radiation safety regulations
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment for both patients and staff

Requirements for this position include:

  • Valid license and current registration to practice Diagnostic Radiography as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH)
  • Possession of a current advanced-level certification in the appropriate specialty area
  • Two (2) years of Radiologic Technologist experience performing duties consistent with lower Assignment Levels, one (1) year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity
