Radiologic Technologist Lvl II

Radiologic technologists play a vital role in the diagnostic imaging process at NYC Health + Hospitals. As a Radiologic Technologist Lvl II, you will be responsible for preparing and positioning patients for radiographic procedures, ensuring accurate and high-quality images. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Review exam orders and consult with radiologists to ensure accurate and efficient procedures
Schedule patients and arrange for transportation as needed
Prepare patients for radiological procedures, including proper protection from infectious diseases and materials
Oversee the work of radiographers and ancillary staff, providing instruction and guidance as needed
Perform diagnostic x-rays on patients, maintaining accurate records and documentation
Perform daily checks of imaging equipment, immobilization devices, and other necessary accessories
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to radiation safety regulations and guidelines
Requirements:
Valid license and current registration to practice Diagnostic Radiography as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the NYSDOH
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
