Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Premium Auditor to join our team at Encova Insurance. This role involves conducting auditing duties, primarily through mail examinations of businesses and corporations, to verify and record classification information ensuring premium payments are accurate and compliant with workers' compensation and other applicable laws.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct audits by mail examination of employer's accounting records to verify classification information and ensure premium payments are correct.
  • Prepare audit worksheets to support audit adjustments and recommendations, documenting the audit trail.
  • Determine premium basis, earned premium, and classification in accordance with company, industry, and government rules and regulations.
  • EFFECTIVELY communicate audit results to internal and external customers regarding classification or payroll variances.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; accounting, insurance, or business emphasis preferred.
  • Accounting or auditing experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in use of spreadsheets to include but not limited to Excel.
  • Able to navigate and effectively use accounting, auditing, or insurance systems.

Estimated Salary Range: $42,878 - $68,604 annually + bonus + benefits
