Job Summary:

The Business Systems Analyst Manager is responsible for leading the business analysis function within Pharmacy Services. This includes directing the day-to-day operations, managing budgets, and overseeing human resource management and staff training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership and direction for the business systems analysis department/area.
  • Manages budgets and financial assets to achieve financial objectives.
  • Oversees human resource management and staff training for the department.
  • Directs the work of employees, including hiring, goal setting, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Manages customer, stakeholder, and vendor relationships and expectations.
  • Regularly communicates with staff and manages resource allocation to projects.
  • Oversees the application development methodologies, tool use, and associated techniques for the business system analysis function.
  • Manages the training and process development activities, including the development of policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Collaborates with key business and prioritizes business analysis work required for application development/acquisition projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in an information technology, informatics, clinical, or insurance related field.
  • Eight years experience providing business systems analyst support using formalized industry-accepted BA techniques and methods.
  • Demonstrated effective leadership and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated strong analysis, problem resolution, judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years Pharmacy/PBM experience.
  • Senior Level SQL skillset.
  • Previous Supervisor experience.
  • Minimum 1 year ProPBM experience.
  • Minimum 2 year batch process management for eligibility, claims, and accumulators, formulary management experience.
  • Two years management experience.
  • Experience working in a healthcare or healthcare insurance environment.
  • Results-oriented.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Keen attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

  • Interact with others requiring the employee to communicate information.
  • Operate computers and other IT equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.
  • See and read computer monitors and documents.
  • Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.
