Job Summary

As a Technical Center Resident Lead Manufacturing Engineer at Inteva Products, you will play a key role in supporting North American manufacturing sites. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the product development team through product and process selection, development, and improvement. You will also coordinate cross-functional teams to execute successful launches of new products and programs. Additionally, you will interface with quality engineering to develop and understand key product characteristics. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding the design and development of robust tools, equipment, and processes. You will also support manufacturing system design workshops and document savings or improvements from the workshop. Furthermore, you will develop risk analysis and control strategies in PFMEAs. Your responsibilities will also include qualifying, validating, and stabilizing manufacturing processes. You will lead initiatives for product / process improvements and manage equipment and tooling spending timelines through capital forecasts. Finally, you will execute the engineering change process for product and process improvements and support North American plants in their cost savings projects. Business travel is mandatory to support North American sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the product development team through product and process selection, development, and improvement.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to execute successful launches of new products and programs.

Requirements
  • Excellent oral and written skills.
  • Proven track record of leadership capabilities to lead a cross-functional product development team and process selection / development / improvement.
  • Works effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Strong degree of self-motivation and self-direction.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a demanding situation.
  • Knowledge of PFMEAs.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Work experience in the automotive industry or industrial / manufacturing engineering.
  • Experience in manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Operations experience.
  • Bilingual / Spanish speaking (not required but a plus).

Education Requirement
Bachelor's Degree (Industrial or Mechanical Engineering preferred).
