Position: Lead AWS and Python Geospatial Engineer
Work Location: Remote (with flexibility for EST or CST hours)

Job Summary:
  • Utilize your extensive knowledge in AWS and Python to spearhead significant geospatial initiatives.
  • With 8 to 10 years of professional experience, you will be instrumental in analyzing and interpreting spatial data to inform strategic business decisions.
  • Your expertise will enhance our organization's capacity to deliver innovative solutions that positively impact society.
  • Applicants must have a solid foundation in AWS and Python to lead the development and execution of geospatial data analysis projects utilizing AWS Services (particularly Lambda Functions, CNS, SQS, S3, etc.) and Python.
Required Skills:
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Familiarity with AWS Core Services: S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, EventBridge, Step Function, OpenSearch, SQS, SNS, API Gateway
  • Experience with FLASK/REST API
  • Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP)
  • Understanding of AWS Machine Learning Services
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in Machine Learning and Healthcare sectors
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the acquisition, processing, and analysis of spatial data to meet business objectives.
  • Provide specialized knowledge in geospatial analysis to cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and fulfill geospatial data requirements.
  • Develop and maintain geospatial databases and tools to improve data accessibility and usability.
  • Ensure data integrity and precision through thorough validation and verification processes.
  • Create comprehensive reports and visualizations to convey geospatial insights to non-technical audiences.
  • Implement machine learning methodologies to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of geospatial analyses.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in geospatial technologies and practices.
  • Mentor and train junior analysts to cultivate a proficient geospatial team.
  • Contribute to the establishment of best practices and standards for geospatial data management.
  • Support the integration of geospatial data with other business systems and applications.
  • Drive ongoing enhancements in geospatial analysis processes and tools.
