OverviewAt Avature, we are committed to transforming the way organizations communicate and operate. The Software Engineering Team Leader for Real Time Communication will play a pivotal role in enhancing our communication solutions, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our clients.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Defining the vision for the next generation of Real Time Communication Services.
- Building and leading a diverse team of engineers.
- Collaborating with various stakeholders across Product, Engineering, and Development teams.
- Driving innovation and setting the technical direction for the team.
- Engaging in hands-on leadership through coding, peer reviews, and product collaboration.
- Implementing agile methodologies to enhance efficiency and quality.
The team is currently focused on several critical challenges:
- Creating a unified platform for Compliance Recording and Media Streaming.
- Facilitating interoperability between various Audio, Video, and Telephony solutions.
- Integrating with third-party communication systems.
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering leadership.
- Proven experience in managing and developing teams.
- Expertise in designing and supporting production systems using C++, Java, and Python.
- A strong foundation in distributed systems design and development.
- Experience in building scalable and resilient systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
We would be particularly interested in candidates who have:
- A track record of successfully hiring and developing engineering teams.
- Experience in launching new initiatives from the ground up.
- Knowledge of WebRTC or similar video conferencing technologies.
- Familiarity with media formats and codecs.
- Experience with open-source contributions.
