Northstar Behavioral Health Network is dedicated to providing exceptional care for individuals facing challenges with substance use disorders, particularly focusing on Opioid Use Disorder and Stimulant Use Disorder. Our expertise also extends to Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver clinical services while maintaining accurate documentation (including comprehensive assessments, group therapy, and individual therapy) in line with NBH policies and the standards set by regulatory bodies.
  • Facilitate care coordination with both internal teams (such as Nursing, Mental Health Providers, Treatment Coordinators, and Peer Recovery Support Specialists) and external organizations (including the Department of Corrections, court systems, probation, child protective services, and other treatment providers) to enhance client recovery outcomes.
  • Engage in scheduled meetings, including clinical, multidisciplinary, and individual sessions.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of core competencies related to co-occurring disorders through ongoing education and the application of skills in all treatment areas.
  • Complete additional tasks as directed by supervisors.
  • Achieve client satisfaction ratings averaging over 4 per month.
  • Maintain outpatient group attendance exceeding 90% (billable units) per track.
  • Ensure compliance with auditor recommendations is implemented within one week.
  • Achieve a client retention rate above 50% each month.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid LADC/ADC-T license in the state of MN.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in addiction counseling.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all MN Statutes relevant to the services provided for the population served by NBHN.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification or the ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with MS Office and Google Suite applications.
  • Experience with medication for opioid use disorder is preferred.
  • Specialized training in areas such as DBT-SUD, CBT, MI, etc., is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Procentive and Electronic Health Record Systems is preferred.
