Job Title: Virtual Evening Counselor

We are seeking a skilled Virtual Evening Counselor to join our team at New Beginnings Minnesota. As a Virtual Evening Counselor, you will be responsible for facilitating virtual groups from our Saint Anthony Park location.

Job Purpose:

The purpose of this position is to provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals to receive counseling and support. You will work closely with our team to ensure that clients receive the best possible care.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate virtual groups and provide individual counseling sessions
  • Assess client needs and develop treatment plans
  • Provide crisis intervention and case management services
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Document client progress and maintain accurate records
Requirements:
  • Current Minnesota State Licensure as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor
  • Minimum 1-year experience in a chemical dependency facility or related field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
  • Knowledge of Minnesota Statutes and Rule 31
  • Ability to work with diverse populations and provide culturally sensitive care
