Job Title: Academic Affairs Business Manager

Michigan State University's College of Human Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Academic Affairs Business Manager to join our team. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will be responsible for providing leadership in financial and human resource operations within Academic Affairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage budget planning, financial monitoring, and compliance with contracts
  • Oversee staff performance and collaborate with the Senior Associate Dean to create a productive work environment
  • Manage educational assignments within the medical school curriculum and ensure community campuses meet accreditation requirements
  • Drive initiatives to support the college's mission

Requirements:

  • Knowledge equivalent to a four-year college degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Management, or a related field
  • Eight or more years of related work experience in office procedures and administration, or in performing responsibilities related to operational activities
  • Experience in a supervisory role and with financial or accounting practices, human resources, and developing and managing special projects

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
