We are looking for a Cardiac Care Unit Registered Nurse at Prime Healthcare. This role is essential in providing specialized care to patients with cardiovascular conditions, ensuring their recovery and improving their overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Continuously monitor patients' cardiac health, vital signs, and telemetry data to identify any changes or irregularities, which is vital for those requiring cardiac drips, insulin drips, or experiencing acute cardiac events.
- Administer prescribed medications, including intravenous and cardiac medications, as well as pain management therapies.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' cardiac conditions, reviewing medical histories and evaluating symptoms.
- Educate patients and their families on cardiac health, treatment options, medication regimens, lifestyle changes, and self-care techniques.
- Respond swiftly to cardiac emergencies, including arrhythmias and cardiac arrests, implementing emergency protocols, performing CPR, and assisting with defibrillation and other critical interventions.
Essential Qualifications:
- Valid and current state RN License.
- Current BLS certification upon hire and maintenance thereafter.
- Basic arrhythmia interpretation certification within 30 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintenance thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of a Critical Care Course.
- At least one year of experience as a staff RN in an acute care setting, particularly in critical care.
- Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
