Cardiac Care Unit Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Care Unit Nurse to join our team at Saint John Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare. The successful candidate will play a critical role in attending to patients with heart conditions, cardiac issues, and associated illnesses, providing tailored care to enhance recovery and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor patient's cardiac status, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect any changes or abnormalities.
- Administer medications as prescribed by physicians, including intravenous drugs, cardiac medications, and pain management medications.
- Perform assessments of patient's cardiac status, including physical assessments, review medical histories, and evaluate symptoms.
- Provide education to patients and their families about cardiac conditions, treatment plans, medications, lifestyle modifications, and self-care practices.
- React promptly to cardiac emergencies, including arrhythmias, cardiac arrests, or respiratory distress, necessitating immediate implementation of emergency procedures, administration of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and aiding in defibrillation and other crucial life-saving measures.
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Basic arrhythmia interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Completion of Critical Care Course.
- Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care.
- Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
