Job Summary

Spelman College is seeking a part-time Graduate Assistant to provide administrative support to the Office of Science, Engineering, and Technical Careers (OSETC). The successful candidate will assist in various administrative tasks, event planning, and project coordination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of administrative tasks, including data entry, analysis, and preparation of presentations.
  • Assist with event planning, including supervision of undergraduate student workers.
  • Facilitate projects in an office with other students, serving on short-term college project teams.
  • Support departmental processes related to student recruitment, including contacting prospective students, creating marketing materials, and conducting campus tours.
  • Analyze and trend historical data for the OSETC and DDEP programs, documenting findings.
  • Provide research support for projects, grants, and departmental activities.
  • Plan, coordinate, and evaluate the Women in Engineering mentoring program.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in STEM, is required.
  • Must be currently enrolled in a graduate program.
  • Must be proficient in the MS Office Suite, especially MS Access.
  • Must have excellent computer skills and the ability to analyze and interpret data.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
