Ophthalmic Technician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician Assistant to join our team at SightMD. As an Ophthalmic Technician Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our physicians and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Perform routine vision screening examinations and administer eye medications
- Assist physicians during minor surgical and laser procedures
- Conduct lensometry, visual fields, keratometry, OCT, and other specialized testing
- Process prescription refills and maintain inventory of ophthalmic supplies and instruments
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills
- Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification preferred or enrolled within twelve (12) months of hire and completion within two (2) years of hire.
- Ophthalmic Scribe Certification (OSC)
