Position Overview:
As a Ski Lift Technician, you will be integral to the safe and efficient operation of lift services at our resort. This role encompasses the operation of ski lifts, guest assistance, equipment upkeep, and delivering outstanding customer service. Key Responsibilities:
- Promote Core Values: Embody and promote Boyne Resorts' L.E.A.D.S. core values, fostering a culture of positivity, productivity, and professionalism.
- Lift Operations: Operate ski lifts and other conveyance systems, ensuring the safe and smooth transport of guests. Maintain cleanliness and order in corral and terminal areas, and perform snow maintenance as required.
- Guest Support: Demonstrate a commitment to service excellence by assisting guests with loading and unloading from lifts, providing safety instructions, and offering general support.
- Safety Oversight: Ensure operational excellence by assisting with daily lift inspections, enforcing safety protocols, checking lift tickets, and managing lift lines.
- Effective Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with guests and team members, including the lift operations team and ski patrol.
- Equipment Care: Conduct regular inspections and minor maintenance on lift equipment, reporting any issues to the maintenance team.
- Weather Awareness: Stay updated on current weather conditions and adjust lift operations accordingly.
- Emergency Preparedness: Respond promptly and effectively in emergencies, following established procedures and notifying the appropriate personnel.
- Exceptional Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service, sharing information about the resort, answering guest inquiries, and ensuring a positive experience.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow lift operators, ski patrol, and mountain operations staff to ensure seamless operations across the resort.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
- Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Enjoyment of outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Passion for customer service and guest interaction.
