Investigating Gene Regulation in Cancer Research

We are seeking a talented Postdoctoral Fellow to join our team at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. In this exciting role, you will delve into the intricacies of gene regulation in cancer cells, utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as genomics, functional genetics, and advanced microscopy.
About the PositionThis postdoctoral fellowship offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to our research efforts in mammalian gene regulation and cancer biology. As a member of our vibrant scientific community in the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia triangle, you will have access to state-of-the-art facilities and collaborate with esteemed researchers.
Responsibilities- Analyze signal-activated gene programs, focusing on the non-coding genome in mammals.
- Apply NGS-based chromatin analyses, high-resolution microscopy and imaging, CRISPR and small-molecule screening, biochemical and computational tools, in vitro systems, and vertebrate models to understand gene control.

QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A Ph.D. in biological sciences.

- A strong record of peer-reviewed publications, with at least one as the first author in a top-tier journal.
Our salary range for this position is estimated at $60,000 - $70,000 per year, commensurate with your qualifications and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
