Job Summary

The University of Georgia is seeking an Administrative Associate to provide administrative support to the director and managers of the Agricultural & Environmental Services Lab (AESL). This role will assist in the planning, research, development, and implementation of programs and special projects, promoting the overall visibility of the lab through outreach and tours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the director and managers, including coordinating meetings, preparing reports, and maintaining records.
  • Assist in the planning, research, development, and implementation of programs and special projects, including education and outreach programs for county cooperative extensions.
  • Work with IT to clear data flags, troubleshoot data entry issues, and verify and validate reports being sent to clients.
  • Coordinate training sessions with new county secretaries, agents, and other personnel.
  • Assist with sample/receiving, interacting with customers for sample drop-off, answering questions, and collecting payment for analysis.
  • Assist in solving day-to-day issues brought forth by county extension offices.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to use discretion with confidential information.
  • Ability to use independent judgment.
  • Sitting for long periods of time.
  • Possible light lifting up to lbs.

Working Conditions

  • Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm.
  • Additional schedule information may be required.
