Job Title: Production Engineer II

Job Summary:

The Production Engineer II will be responsible for leading production optimization efforts to increase production and enhance well performance. This role will involve monitoring and optimizing various production activities to maximize economic performance and ensure compliance with governmental and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Production Optimization Efforts: Develop and implement strategies to increase production and enhance well performance.
  • Artificial Lift Selection and Design: Select, design, and troubleshoot artificial lift systems, including gas lift, plunger lift, and rod lift systems.
  • Choke Management: Develop choke management strategies for new development.
  • Well Performance Monitoring: Monitor, record, and report new well performance.
  • Well Servicing Opportunities: Identify and execute well servicing opportunities for maintenance and artificial lift improvements.
  • Engineering Support: Provide engineering support to field staff as they troubleshoot problematic wells.
  • Economic Analysis: Perform economic analysis and write project AFE's.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance of all area wells with State and Federal regulations.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with the field operations team.
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental Programs: Participate in Health, Safety, and Environmental programs and support net-zero emission goals.
  • Initiative and Teamwork: Take initiative and work independently within a team environment.
  • Safe Operating Practices: Follow safe operating practices and ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of engineering experience in exploration and production.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to Manage Multiple Projects: Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
