Job Summary

Idaho National Laboratory is seeking a highly skilled Radiological Controls Supervisor to join our Environment, Safety, Health and Quality Group. This role will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating the daily activities of technicians to maintain the INL Radiological Controls program standards and support Facility operation and production schedules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and coordinate the daily activities of technicians to maintain the INL Radiological Controls program standards and support Facility operation and production schedules.
  • Assist Radiological Controls Engineering staff with facility management and programs for execution and approval of procedures, work packages, RWP's and equipment modifications to ensure proper radiological controls for the facility will be in compliance with radiation protection requirements.
  • Ensure Radiological Controls program compliance by providing daily oversight and guidance to line management, radiological workers and Radiological Controls personnel through field observations.
  • Communicate Radiological Controls program expectations to HPT's and hold them responsible for their performance and standards.
  • Evaluate and interpret data collected from technicians and monitoring equipment to provide a radiological hazard-free/controlled work environment and to detect abnormal trends indicating developing problems.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of high school diploma/GED & DOE RCT/HPT Core Certification plus 7 years of experience in radiation protection.
