Job Summary:

Phaxis is seeking a skilled Medical Claims Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Claims Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing and processing medical claims, ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and process medical claims, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues
  • Communicate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve claim issues
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including HIPAA
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of claim processing and communication
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex claim issues

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in medical billing or a related field
  • Proven experience with medical claims processing and reimbursement
  • Knowledge of insurance and reimbursement processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and practice management systems
  • Knowledge of medical coding and billing regulations
  • Experience working with diverse client populations and community organizations
