Medical Billing Specialist

Catholic Charities seeks a highly skilled Medical Billing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance and accounting department, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely medical billing and reimbursement processes.
Key Responsibilities- Process and manage medical claims, including submission and follow-up on rejected claims and denials.
- Utilize knowledge of insurance and reimbursement processes to ensure accurate billing and maximize revenue.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve billing and reimbursement issues.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and community organizations.
- Stay up-to-date on HIPAA privacy requirements and maintain confidentiality of client/patient information.
- 1+ years of experience in medical billing and/or healthcare revenue cycle management.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and ability to learn new systems and technologies.
