Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Meat Department Associate to join our team at Kroger. As a Meat Department Associate, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring that our meat products meet the highest standards of quality and freshness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet customers and provide assistance with finding products, answering questions, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Meat Department Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the meat department, sales floor, and backrooms.
  • Product Quality Control: Check product quality, ensure that products are fresh and safe, and properly rotate stock to prevent spoilage.
  • Inventory Management: Work with the inventory team to ensure that products are properly stocked and displayed, and that inventory levels are maintained at optimal levels.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals, maintain a positive store environment, and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required.
  • Meat Work Experience: Previous experience working in a meat department or similar environment is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required to effectively interact with customers and team members.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive store environment.
Working Conditions

This position requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a team environment, provide excellent customer service, and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
