Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Systems Engineer to join our team at Technical Staffing. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert-level security recommendations to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Security Analysis: Provide in-depth security analysis and recommendations to our clients to ensure the security of their information systems.
  • Security Design: Lead the identification of security requirements for our clients' projects and participate in network design reviews and security testing.
  • Security Implementation: Coordinate with system development teams to ensure that security standards are followed and implemented correctly.
  • Security Compliance: Identify additional security requirements based on RMF or as a result of security issues that put our clients' systems at risk.
  • Security Review: Review and analyze new systems (hardware and software) and provide recommendations concerning system security.
  • Security Documentation: Review Security Requirements Traceability Matrixes (SRTMs), System Security Plans (SSPs), and other IA documentation for completeness.
  • Security Guidance: Provide A&A and RMF guidance to system owners to ensure accreditation success.
  • Security Readiness: Provide insight and recommendations during the customer's information assurance readiness review process.
Requirements:
  • Citizenship: Must be a US citizen.
  • Clearance: Possess a current TOP SECRET / SCI with POLYGRAPH clearance.
  • Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or an advanced IA certification.
  • Certification: DoD 8570 certification in IAT or IAM (desired).
  • Experience: Experience in security systems engineering involving various computer hardware and software operation systems and application solutions in both stand-alone and LAN/WAN configurations.
  • Skills: Experience with security features and/or vulnerability of various operating systems as defined by NIST, DISA (STIGs), and USCYBERCOM.
  • Skills: Experience with networks and systems security administration, operation systems security configuration, and account management best practices.
  • Skills: Experience implementing RMF Process and NIST 800-53 technical controls, as well as developing and maintaining associated certification and accreditation documentation.
Desired Skills:
  • Self-Starter: Self-starter requiring limited direction and supervision.
  • Briefing Experience: Experience briefing senior customer personnel.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to organize and prioritize numerous customer requests in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with customer's IA and SE processes.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with IA vulnerability testing and related network and system test tools (i.e., retina, HBSS, EVSS, ACAS).
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with Cross Domain Systems (CDS).
  • Technical Skills: Experience supporting IC or DoD in the Cyber Security Domain.
