Security Engineer SME

GovCIO is seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer SME to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for building a culture of security-first development and IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement cybersecurity and IA SOPs to ensure the security of our systems and data.
- Design and implement an enterprise-wide security approach to Continuous ATO, based on NIST RMF, across on-premise and hybrid cloud environments.
- Develop security standards to harden our IT environment and coach teams on implementing them across the enterprise.
- Engineer, implement, and monitor security measures that meet and exceed FISMA High requirements.
- Maintain currency of security monitoring tools and profiles across infrastructure and development.
- Ensure security scanning and dependency checking tools are maintained in CI/CD pipeline.
- Ensure intrusion prevention, detection, and monitoring tools are operational and current.
- Take a lead role on the Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of IT security engineering experience (or commensurate experience).
- Active Secret clearance required.

The posted pay range reflects the expected salary for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary at any time.
Posted Salary Range: USD $143, USD $178,500.00 /Yr.
